Description

This module will provide a grounding for trainee teachers in current issues in educational practice and research. Topics likely to be explored include interprofessional working, theories of learning and teaching, education and social justice, and the teacher as a learning professional. It will offer trainees opportunities to work collectively, network, and share their practices; and it will introduce them to topics that may be picked up later in their studies. They should leave with a sense of the landscape of contemporary teaching practice, and some techniques for successfully navigating this.
